The mission of our law school is "to foster global legal professionals of expertise serving human society." With the fourth industrial revolution in progress, only through educating legal professions with the morality of realizing social justice and public interest as well as a competitive edge can meet the needs of this diversified and globalized era.

In order to achieve this educational goal, we have completed the framing construction of a 9-story law school building located at the foot of the Geonjisan Mountain in Jeonju city as of August 2018, expected to be completed in 2019. Our outstanding faculty is committed to developing innovative curricula and cultivating the excellent lawyers through systematic education. Moreover, our specialty in Northeast Asian law provides an opportunity of in-depth training and overseas linkage programs that will enhance students’ competitiveness.

Over the years, our faculty’s dedication in teaching and students’ enthusiasm and efforts have enabled us to demonstrate excellent performances at the Supreme Court closing contest, which is known as the "flower of law school system". In the third annual competition held in 2012, our students received awards in all areas of civil and criminal justice as well as individual awards. Our alumni are currently actively working in courts, as prosecutors, in law firms, public institutions, and corporations. We are confident that the legal professionals graduating from our law school hereafter will make a significant contribution to the society by advancing legal services of our local and national communities and leading the advanced legal culture.

In this era of professionalism and morality, we specifically aim to nurture the legal professionals with the expertise and ability to provide quality legal services in response to the society’s expectations and requests. Our goal is to cultivate legal professionals that can efficiently settle disputes based on comprehensive understanding and consideration of people, society, and culture holding freedom, democracy, equality, and justice as supreme values.

Thus, we continue to strengthen the teaching staff with outstanding research achievements, bring innovation to the existing education systems, and provide the best learning environment including research infrastructure and library with bright atmosphere, where students can confidently immerse themselves in their studies. We also dedicate our best efforts to ensure talented individuals develop legal expertise and effective communication skills during their three years of study to become nationally-recognized professionals and to further pursue international careers.
